Oakland Observer Weekly Newsletter Transitioning to Live Reporting Thread/Notes Combo

Hello, supporters, subscribers and readers. Beginning this week, OO will be transitioning to a new format for the weekly newsletter available to general public. I've found that presenting the live reporting thread, which can be read in a PDF or off twitter in the link to Twitter Thread, with notes, corrections, clarifications and additional reporting is more useful to readers. Its not only easier to read, its also easier to produce weekly while still keeping the OO commitment to observe City Hall meetings.

The new format will allow for more in-depth and regular reporting on longer city politics arcs and hopefully will join the best of both worlds–the weekly details that add insight into city processes and happenings, along with deeper reporting of the issues dailies and weeklies keep missing.
